The Social Signals Processing Network (SSPNet) organizes an International Workshop on the Foundation of Social Signals (see provisional program below).

The first day of the Workshop will be devoted to set the state of the art concerning the social signals research carried on by SSPNet Units within the end of the first financed year of the European Project. 

This will be done partly during the Work Package meetings, to be held in the morning of December 3rd , 2009, and partly during the afternoon of the same day.

To this purpose, Post Doc, PhD Students and young researchers are warmly invited to present studies concerning the topics of the Project.

Also young researchers working on SSP outside the Network may apply, though priority is given to SSPNet members.

 

Relevant topics of special session include but are not limited to:

 

-          Social signals processing

-          Social psychology

-          Multimodal signals of agreement and disagreement, dominance and politeness

-          Multimodal human behaviour analysis and synthesis

-          Analysis and synthesis of facial expression

-          Human gestures and action recognition

-          Analysis and synthesis of expressive speech

-          Applications
