DESCRIPTION:EyesWeb Week 2006\: the 1st Tutorial on the EyesWeb Open P
 latform\, organized by InfoMus Lab – DIST – University of Genova.\
 n\nThe EyesWeb Week is a tutorial aiming at sharing with participants 
 the InfoMus Lab’s experience in scientific and technological develop
 ments as well as in artistic production matured around the EyesWeb pro
 ject. The EyesWeb project focuses on different aspects of non-verbal m
 ultimodal communication\, including human full-body movement and music
 al gesture\, and aims at understanding the affective\, expressive cont
 ent gesture conveys.\nThe project is centred on an open hardware and s
 oftware platform\, EyesWeb 4\, for developing real-time multimedia app
 lications characterised by multimodal interaction. Research and develo
 pment in the EyesWeb project are partially supported by several EU-IST
  and national projects.\nThis one-week tutorial aims at providing scie
 ntists\, technicians\, and artists with the opportunity to master and 
 explore in detail the EyesWeb project and open platform.\nLectures and
  experiments are structured in different tracks\: a track is specifica
 lly designed for dancers\, choreographers\, musicians\, and content cr
 eators.\nA parallel track concerns the internals and core architecture
  of the\nnew EyesWeb 4 platform and related libraries for multimodal a
 nalysis\, and it is focused for computer engineers and professionals.\
 nParticipants will be introduced to the different aspects of the EyesW
 eb project – from design to implementation of experience-centric med
 iated interactive systems to software and system engineering issues.\n
 Sample hands-on and installations will be faced\, also according to pa
 rticipants’ skills and demands.\nParticipants are encouraged to pres
 ent and discuss their own EyesWeb projects at the EyesWeb Week.
