The team « Virtual Agents & Emotions » of the « Cognition Perception Use » group at LIMSI-CNRS, France is offering several PhD and post-doc positions in Psychology and Computer Science on the following topics since Septembre 2012: - realistic interactive virtual characters : modeling individual differences in terms of emotions and expressivity ; animation and graphical rendering - virtual character that deliver formative assessment feedback about users’ performance including during pedagogical interactions - methodology for collecting and analysing multimodal dyadic interactions - automatic analysis of multimodal corpora : fusion between modalities, video processing, eyetracker, log files and physiological measures - computational models of emotions and personnality - ergonimics of user interfaces and the role of users’ affective states - design of virtual and robotic companions: modeling and evaluating personnality - virtual humans in virtual reality The work will be done at LIMSI-CNRS, Paris South University, Orsay (40 mn by regional train from Paris) : www.limsi.fr. These positions are funded on French national projects.
