Post-doc opening in multimodal affective interaction at LIMSI-CNRS, France
The “Conversational Agents” team at LIMSI-CNRS (30 km south of Paris) seeks immediately one qualified postdoctoral researcher in the field of multimodal affective interaction.
Besides the enhancement of the two specific scenarios considered in the project (Ballet of Biarritz and Museum of Toulouse), CARE results will include improved conception methods as well as new generic interaction techniques based on augmented reality technologies and affective interaction.
The task of the post-doc candidate will be to model, implement and evaluate a model of multimodal affective interaction with an animated agent. The model will be used to control expressive 3D facial animations from video and motion captured data collected from a dancer's performance. Mappings from the captured movements onto the facial expressions will be proposed at different levels of abstraction.
The candidates are expected to have an Engineering BSc/Msc degree and a PhD in Computer Science. Experience in the following domains will be appreciated: real-time 3D graphics, affective computing, virtual avatars.
