Content

The core theme of the S2S² Summer School is on the gap between Sound and Sense, that is, between low-level, physical modelling of sound, and high-level representations and models related to perception, cognition, affect, expression, and gesture (sense). The school will focus on crucial open research problems, also faced in problem-oriented concrete work involving participants, including round-tables and presentation by leading researchers from related fields. The last day will cover a finalisation of the work and a joint discussion and planning of future research in the S2S² field.

Registration

Participants are asked to register by sending an email with their personal information (name, organisation, address, contact information) to
info-summerschool@s2s2.org.
Participants also have to provide their curriculum, highlighting their interests and the reasons for their participation. The Summer School steering committee will select participants depending on such information. Participants are asked to actively contribute to the preparation of the school, for example by sharing material using the Internet infrastructure of S2S² (www.s2s2.org).

The Summer School is free for member partners of S2S² and of companion EU projects Enactive, Humaine, TaiChi, and ConGAS. A 200 Euro fee is applied to external participants. Information on payment procedures will be published on the web page.
