Blech, M., Peter, C., Stahl, R., Voskamp, J., & Urban, B. (2005). Setting up a multimodal database for multi-study emotion research in hci. Proceedings of the 2005 HCI International Conference, Las Vegas, 2005.

This paper discusses the need of a dedicated structure for databases storing multimodal emotion data. The specialty of the described database is the possibility to perform analyses on data collected in different studies, with different configurations and different research aims. Guidelines for designing such a database are presented, a reference implementation is described, and the need for a standard architecture for multimodal emotion databases is motivated.
