Michael Grimm
Michael Grimm (*1979) received the Master in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) from the University of Karlsruhe (TH), Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2003. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the signal processing group at the Institute for Communications Engineering (INT) of the University of Karlsruhe (TH), Karlsruhe, Germany. In 2005, he was with the Speech Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory (SAIL) of the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, USA, as a visiting scientist working on audio-visual emotion recognition. His research interests include digital speech processing and pattern recognition, focussing on the evaluation and recognition of emotional user states in the context of man-machine interaction.
