Jianhua Tao
Jianhua Tao received the Ph.D. degree with computer science from Tsinghua University in 2001, and is currently a Professor with the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. His research interests include speech synthesis, verbal and non-verbal speech communication, emotional information processing, human computer interaction. He has published serval papers in major journals and proceedings which includes IEEE Trans. on ASLP, ICASSP, Interspeech, ICCV, ICIP, ICME, ICPR, ACII, etc.. Dr. Tao has received several awards from important conferences including Eurospeech2001. He was elected as Vice-Chairperson of the ISCA Special Interest Group of Chinese Spoken Language Processing (SIG-CSLP)(in 2006), Executive Committee member of the HUMAINE association (in 2007), fellow of Acoustic Society of China (in 2005), and fellow of Chinese Computer Federation (in 2008). He has also ever served as chair or program committee member for several major conferences, including ACII, ISCSLP, ICPR, etc..
