A spoken or multimodal dialogue system that perceives the user's
emotional state, and adapts accordingly. For example, the system may
adapt to the user's general emotional tone, repair ill feeling, or
focus on topics that the user likes or finds interesting while avoiding
topics that cause distress or boredom.
