Short biography of Jennifer A. Healey
Dr. Healey is a Research Scientist at Intel Corporation, where her work is focused on developing algorithms to intelligently interpret sensor data to improve peoples quality of life. She has spent over a decade working on real world deployments of wearable sensing systems for measuring emotions and health. Prior to coming to Intel, Dr. Healey was a Research Scientist at HP Labs working on the Wellness initiative. Healey holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and both a Masters and Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her doctoral work was performed under Prof. Rosalind W. Picard and she was Picard's first student in the area of Affective Computing.
