In the Geneva Emotion Research Group, I am interested in developing a Cognitive Neuroscience of Appraisal. This project brings together behavioral data from normal subjects and brain-damaged patients as well as fMRI and EEG data from the normal human brain in order to test the functional architecture of the emotion system. In particular, I am currently interested in the role of the amygdala in relevance detection.
